The AJC Network

AJC network is a 12,700km optical fibre ring cable network with Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) technology,
providing 10Gbit/s wavelengths with a design capacity of up to 64 waves per fibre pair. The AJC network runs north - south from
Japan to Australia via Guam and sits in an average depth between 4,000-5,000 metres.
AJC International Connectivity

AJC International Connectivity

Apart from terminating traffic in Australia, Guam and Japan, AJC enable onward connectivity on submarine cables that are collocated in the same cable station as AJC, or are located in cable stations within a few kilometres of AJC. Some illustrative connections are shown below.

AJC Domestic Backhaul Connectivity

The Australia Japan partnering network incorporates domestic backhaul through direct relationships and partners.
Under this arrangement AJC can package end to end connectivity utilizing these partnerships in Japan, Guam and Australia.

  • Japan Connectivity can be achieved via partners to customer premises in cities including Tokyo and Osaka as well as collocation facilities
  • Guam Connectivity can be achieved via partners from both AJC cable landing stations to customer premises or between cable stations.
  • Australia Connectivity can be achieved via partners to all mainland states, many CBD/Metro locations and collocation facilities
